Toto, We're Not In Kansas anymore...

What happens when Poor Man's Whiskey mixs the Wizard of Oz, Bluegrass, and Pink Floyd together? You get Darkside of the Moonshine! What happens when you add Nat Keefe and Aaron Redner from Hot Buttered Rum and James Nash from the Waybacks to this musical stew? An evening of music that goes way over the rainbow!

Poor Man's Whiskey has always had their own twist when it comes to doing things. Covering Pink Floyd's Darkside of the Moon album bluegrass style dressed as the characters from the Wizard of Oz is a good example of that. In our travels we have met good friends playing in other bands that share our sense of off beat theatrics and musical humor. We are elated that three of them will be joining us for our Darkside of the Moonshine show on January 11th at the Great American Music Hall.

James Nash from the Waybacks and Nat Keefe and Aaron Redner from Hot Buttered Rum know a thing or two about bluegrass! In addition to being fine musicians, they are no strangers to musical theatrics. Nat produces his own highly entertaining Nat Keefe Concert Carnival, a true kalidescope of musical entertainment. Aaron and many other special guests from bands across the country are a part of this annual multi-media, cabaret-style variety show . Don't miss this years event Dec. 20th at the Independent.

James Nash has been turning heads for years now as a featured singer and soloist in his band the Waybacks and with Bob Weir. You can see James and the Waybacks in action at the Warfield Theater Dec 15th with Bob Weir and Ratdog and Little Feat.  James will be playing a rather important role in the cast of this presentation of Darkside of the Moonshine. Which character will he be...? Only one way to find out, we'll see you January 11th at the Great American Music Hall! Please come join us for an evening filled with Lazer and Liquid Light shows, bluegrass, Awesome special guests, Poor Man's Whiskey, and some fantastic suprises.

Shine On!
